What's included

Carpet is the one finish where the fitting matters more than the product. A good carpet badly fitted ripples within a season; a mid-range carpet properly stretched and joined will look right for years. We measure, supply and fit, and we take the old floor covering away.

  • Measuring and quotation on site
  • Supply of carpet and underlay
  • Fitting to gripper, stretched properly
  • Stairs, landings and runners
  • Bedrooms, living rooms and corridors
  • Seams, joins and pattern matching
  • Door bars, thresholds and trims
  • Subfloor preparation and levelling
  • Uplift and disposal of old flooring
  • Fitting around fixed furniture and fireplaces

Why fitting decides the result

Almost every carpet complaint we are called to look at is a fitting fault, not a fabric fault. Ripples mean it was not stretched. Visible seams mean the pile direction was not matched. Fraying at a doorway means the trim was wrong for the threshold.

On stairs it matters more again, because that is where wear concentrates and where a bad join shows every time someone walks up. We fit stairs individually rather than running one piece over the nosings, which costs a little more in labour and lasts considerably longer.
